The Seattle Medium Newspaper Group -- which includes The Seattle Medium, Metro Homemaker, Tacoma True Citizen & Portland Medium newspapers -- is the largest African American owned and operated newspaper group in the Pacific Northwest reaching over 84,000 households and more than 211,000 weekly readers in the Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland markets.
Established in January of 1970, The Seattle Medium has won numerous awards and remains a major force in community service, news, editorial commentary, and influence in the Pacific Northwest.
In addition, The Seattle Medium Newspaper Group has four radio stations -- 1420 AM KRIZ, 1560 AM KZIZ, 1620 AM KYIZ, & 1480 KBMS -- serving the Seattle, Tacoma, & Portland markets.
