The Delta Upsilon Omega (DUO) chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) and Dynamic Urban Opportunities Foundation, Incorporated (DUOF) are pleased to announce their upcoming Monte Carlo Masquerade Benefit. The benefit will take place on Sat., Oct. 26 at the Renton Event Paviliion.
As DUOF serves as the charitable giving arm of DUO, earnings from this event will be used to enhance DUO’s efforts to fund scholarships and support community service activities in the Seattle-area.
“For more than 65 years, the Delta Upsilon Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha has exemplified AKA’s motto of delivering ‘service to all mankind’,” said DUO President, Phyllis Scott Lowe. “Whether providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors, generating awareness about various health issues or packing food that will be donated to those in need, DUO has remained dedicated to assisting and supporting and uplifting those in our community. Through our Monte Carlo Masquerade Benefit with DUOF, we will be able to even further drive charitable activities that will improve the lives of residents here in the Puget Sound region.”
