The Breakfast Group in partnership with The NW Black Pioneers, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and the ROOTS Committee will host the 41st Annual ROOTS Family Picnic this Sun., Sept. 4 at Jimi Hendrix/Sam Smith Parks – 2400 South Massachusetts Street in Seattle.
This community tradition is now in its 41st year. It is a social gathering in support of closing the generation gap to strengthen family and community ties, and will take place at the Jimi Hendrix and Sam Smith Parks at the Northwest African-American Museum.
Activities Include: Face Painting, Field Games, Mini Museum Tours, Live Music by Seattle Area Musicians, Special Community Appreciation Awards, Periodic Raffle Drawings, Voices Oral History Project and MORE!!!
