Cowboys opened their 2021 season in grand fashion as they posted a big win over the Seatac Sharks. The Cowboys’ Jaivieon Jackson got Beacon Hill on the scoreboard early as he returned an interceptions 60 yards for a touchdown. Jackson was also part of the Cowboys’ high-powered rushing attack that saw four players –Jackson, Demetrios Gordon, Jr., Mai’King Newton and Zion Ulugalu –score touchdowns on the day. Beacon Hill’s stingy defense, led by Davionte Cooper and Zion Ulugalu, didn’t make things easy for the Sharks, as they were able to keep them out of the endzone. Almonte Cooper got his name on the scoresheet as he converted multiple extra points for the Cowboys.

After the game, Beacon Hill Coach Red Gant was thrilled about his team’s victory but said his team still has some work to do if they want to contend for the title.

“We made a lot of mistakes in the game but I blame it on it just being the first game of the season,” said Gant. “The only way to get better is hard work. This team believes, so it’s time to get ready for the rest of the season.”

253 Spartans 25
Renton Rangers 6

The 253 Spartans and Renton Rangers started their season with a great game against each other. The 253 offense was moving smoothly as the had no trouble putting up points and overwhelming the Renton defense.
