NW Premier 7U Scores & Highlights 11-3-21

Benson Bruins 24
5 Star Cougars 19
Benson’s Makari Cheatham continued to show why he is one of the best running backs in the division. Cheatham broke loose on a 60 yard touchdown run on the games first play, and set the tone for a game full of big plays. The Bruins’ defense took the field and gave 5 star running back Jayden “Tank” Dickerson very little running room. The Bruins would go on to recover a fumble at the 5 Star 35 yard line that would lead to a 3-yard touchdown run by Silas Fuiava. 5 Star would strike back as Nicky O’Brien would score the first of his three touchdowns on the day, as he sprinted 45 yards for a touchdown to cut the Bruin lead to 12-6. 5 Star would eventually take a one-point lead after Dickerson broke loose on a long run to setup a 28 yard touchdown run by O’Brien. The two teams went back and forth as Cheatham and O’Brien would each find paydirt again on long runs with 5 Star holding a slim 19-18 lead in the fourth quarter. Cheatham would score again on an 11-yard touchdown run to give the Bruins a 24-19 lead. With 5 Star driving late in the game, the Bruins’ defense would force a turnover on downs with 42 seconds left to preserve the win and punch their ticket into the championship game.
