81, passed peacefully in her sleep on March 19, 2005. She is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Montgomery, son, Emmett, Jr., brother, Reynolds Durrett and parents, Thomas Jefferson Durrett and Jessie Alexander Durrett. She is survived by her brother, Morristell Durrett (Evelyn) of Atlanta Georgia, children Judith Hightower Mills (Lamar), Barbara Bradley (Raymond), Sandra Montgomery, Patricia Fox (Darren), Edward Glenn Montgomery, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She converted to Catholicism and faithfully served her God in church and community as a member of St. Edward Parish for over 50 years. Many will remember her through her former work at Boeing during WWII, Bishop’s Drugs, 25 years in Girl Scouts and 20 years working at Jordan’s Drug and Grocery. Even after her retirement, Delaney continued to serve others delivering food to AIDS Hospice and community food banks, assisting the elderly, disabled, and home bound through Chore Services and church ministries. Funeral Mass is March 28th, 11:00 A.M. at St. Therese Church. Burial is at Holyrood. Remembrances suggested to Swedish Cancer Center, Swedish Hospice, St. Edwards School or St. Therese Parish.
