Adults ages 55 and up are invited to attend an eight-week art workshop series this fall to learn the fundamentals of drawing, watercolor and collage with a local artist at two locations of The Seattle Public Library.
Library events are free and open to the public. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required for each workshop series; call or stop by the Library location to sign up.
Creative Aging Art Workshops will teach attendees to create compositions using drawing, painting and collage. The workshops are designed for any skill level, from absolute beginners to more experienced artists. Dates, times and locations are as follows.

- Noon to 2 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 14 – Nov. 2 – Taught by local teaching artist Betsy Dahlstrom. An art exhibit for workshop attendees to display their art will take place from Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Greenwood Branch.

- 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Sept. 21 – Nov. 9 Taught by local teaching artist Sharon Birzer. An art exhibit for workshop attendees to display their art will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the West Seattle Branch.
