Eu-wanda Eagans recently joined Northwest Harvest as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Eagans has an extensive background in operations and program management through years of experience in manufacturing and engineering. Her work experience includes companies such as Energizer Battery Co. and General Motors Corporation as well as Washington State Government. In each of her positions she gained valuable perspective around business effectiveness.

“I am very excited about being a part of the Northwest Harvest team,” Eagans said. “I have a strong desire to make a positive impact on hunger in this state, and the opportunity to work for Northwest Harvest has been a dream come true for me! The opportunity to directly help people in their hour of need (and to be able to use my operational skills to do it) has been a goal of mine for a long time. I look forward to getting fully engaged in the agency’s operations, including procuring food, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and working with frontline hunger relief programs across the state.”

An avid volunteer, Eu-wanda has kept her hands busy even as her mind was busy thinking of ways to help her favorite causes more efficient and successful at achieving their missions.

Northwest Harvest is the only non-profit food bank distributor operating statewide in Washington, providing 1.9 million meals each month to a network of more than 360 food banks, meal programs and high-need schools.
