First A.M.E. To Hold Inaugural African And Community Advent Festival Of Praise


First A.M.E. Church of Seattle will host their Inaugural African and Community Advent Festival of Praise on Sat., Dec. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the First A.M.E. Church Sanctuary – 1522 14th Ave in Seattle.

The event will feature meditations, readings, and joyful sounds of the Holiday Season from Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and the great Music of Ministry of the First A.M.E. Church and friends.

In addition, there will be a Taste of Africa Extravaganza from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the Jones Fellowship Hall, where you can enjoy soul food and a taste of indigenous African cuisine. Donation $15:00 advance $20.00 at the door, Cynthia Hobbs and Rev. Dr. Margaret Spearman, Coordinators.

There will be a Free Will Offering at the event. Donations will bless the First AME Music department and other ministries. A portion of the proceeds will be dedicated to the emergency housing outreach of the Mother Africa Community Program.
