Jackson St. for the location of a house once occupied by Jimi Hendrix. After many extensions, the owners were given a 5 p.m., June 3, 2005, deadline to move the house off of city property, or the city would initiate plans to demolish the deteriorating structure. Today it was confirmed that the owners are in the process of purchasing property in Renton where they plan to move the house. As a result, the city has given the owners a one-week extension to provide concrete plans for the removal of the house from city property. The owners now have until noon, June 10, 2005, to provide the necessary proof that they will move the house off of the property. This weekend, the city will install a fence around the house to protect it as plans move forward.
