No experience is necessary. Free training will be provided for volunteers in early December. Speakers of non-English languages are needed.If interested, please contact Young Pham at Rainier Beach Community Center Technology Center at 206-722-1390 or RBCTC@seattle.gov Free tax preparation services, especially for people eligible for EITC and the Child Tax Credit, will be available at Rainier Beach Community Center from mid-January to mid-April 2005, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 4 to 8 p.m.The Earned Income Tax Credit is a special tax benefit for working people who learn low or moderate incomes. Workers who qualify can get back some or all of the federal income tax deducted from their pay during the year.This free program is part of the King County Earned Income Tax Credit Campaign, which is a collaboration of the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Making Connections Initiative, the Internal Revenue Service, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), United Way of King County, The City of Seattle’s Help for Working Families Program, The Seattle Jobs Initiative, Puget Sound Labor Agency and social service agencies and banks committed to helping low income working people in King County keep what they have earned and save for their future.Located at 8825 Rainier Ave. S, Rainier Beach is one of several sites in the Seattle area offering this tax preparation service.###
