
The Fighting Irish of O’Dea (8-2, 7-0 Metro) jumped out to an early 14-2 lead and never looked back as they handed the Garfield Bulldogs (9-3, 7-1 Metro) their first Metro League loss of the season.
O’Dea’s Paolo Banchero led all scorers with 24 points, while teammates John Christofilis chipped in 18 points, including 4 three-pointers, and Jermaine Davis scored 13 points to help lead the Irish.
Garfield’s Tari Eason had a team-high 19 points, and Kendall Munson scored 11 points to lead the Bulldogs.
Garfield’s next game is at home this Friday Jan. 10 at 8:30 p.m. against Lakeside. O’Dea will travel to take on Lincoln this Friday Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
