For Kayla and Justin Kerr, owning two Puppyland locations in the Puget Sound region is about more than producing profits. They pride themselves on pairing people and puppies to create fur-ever homes and work diligently in the community to help others through the Puppyland Cares program.
This holiday season, the Kerrs will continue to honor their commitment to the community by providing Thanksgiving meals for 250 families. They will host turkey drives at both of their WA locations this Saturday, 11/20/21; starting with Renton at 9am and Puyallup at 12pm. Families are encouraged to stop by and pick up a 15-20 lb turkey while running their Saturday errands.
“When we open a store in a community, it is important that we become one with the community and give back,” Kayla Kerr said. “Our goal is to show we support families in Renton and Puyallup. We are one community. Puppyland cares.”
The Kerrs launched the Puppyland Cares program earlier this year through a back-to-school backpack giveaway Labor Day weekend.
During that event, Puppyland handed out 250 backpacks filled with notebooks, pencils, hand sanitizer, markers, crayons and a variety of other supplies. They then donated all leftover supplies to the Bethel School District.
Puppyland is committed to the safety and well-being of all puppies that arrive at the store and to the families who bring those pets into their homes. “We provide a service that is vital to our communities,” Kayla said. “We are ensuring the right puppies end up in good homes with the right owners. When you bring a Puppyland puppy into your home, you won’t be disappointed.”
