Rev. LaVerne Corine Williams Hall is an Associate Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Seattle. She graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University. She is a Doctoral Candidate at San Francisco Theological Seminary.

She published My Little Mahji Paper Doll Series; four books of poetry; a line of greeting cards, DollArtVenture; produced nationally “Holiday Festival of Black Dolls,” and curated black doll exhibits. LaVerne the Paper Doll Lady exhibit is owned by the National Afro-American Museum & Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio. She lectured and preached in the United States, Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa taking over 2,000 Black dolls to Cape Town.

She is a Legacy Life member of National Council of Negro Women and is President Emeritus of the Dr. James W. Washington Jr. and Mrs. Janie Rogella Washington Foundation.

She was the Director of the Mount Zion Baptist Church Saturday Ethnic School and served on the Bellevue Washington Civil Service Committee.
