Seattle Medium/Z-Twins’ Annual Food Drive This Saturday

The Seattle Medium Newspaper Group, in conjunction with the Z-Twins Radio Stations (1420 KRIZ & 1620 KYIZ), will host their annual food drive this Sat., Nov. 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Seattle Medium Bldg. at 2600 S. Jackson Street in Seattle.

Non-perishable food items will be accepted throughout the day and distributed to less-fortunate families in our community in time for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. In addition, Turkeys will also be accepted to help make sure that these families have a complete Thanksgiving meal on the table this holiday season.

“We know that some people in our community are facing some serious economic challenges right now and this is a time to embrace them and let them know that there is somebody out there who cares,” said Chris H. Bennett, chairman of the Seattle Medium and the Z-Twins radio stations. “It’s that time of year when we talk about caring and sharing, and certainly we as a community cannot forgot about those who may need a little help putting food on the table.”

“We cannot allow one child, one family, or one adult to be without food this holiday season if we can help it,” Bennett continued. “So, we are asking that people look deep in their heart and deep in their cupboards and support this worthy effort.”
