Malika Bennett, is a seasoned marketer, media professional and businesswoman with over 12 years of professional experience. She is also a writer, community advocate and strong woman of faith. Under the leadership of the late Connie Bennett Cameron, she co-published the national award winning publication 206 Teen (Seattle Medium, 1998). Since then, Bennett has used her creativity to drive forward products and services for clients and employers such as Kris Bennett Broadcasting, The Seattle Medium Newspaper Group, Accenture, Department of Defense, SBC Ameritech, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, Emergence Community Arts Collective in Washington D.C., Washington and Virginia state governments. Bennett, founded the DC Winter Arts Festival in 2013 and self published her first book, BulletProof Love (2014). She is currently working on her second book, A Bucket Full of Hope, which will be published this year.

Bennett is a Seattle native and holds a B.A. in Communications from Howard University and a M.A. from American University. She graduated from Mercer Island High School and Seattle Central Community College with both an Associate’s degree and high school diploma.
