We serve the African American and other underserved communities in the region with four newspapers: The Seattle Medium (Seattle, WA), The Seattle Metro Homemaker (Seattle, WA), The Tacoma True Citizen (Tacoma, WA) and The Portland Medium (Portland, OR).

In addition to being one of the most influential media outlets in the Pacific Northwest, we are a major force in when it comes to community service, news, and editorial commentary that impacts the region.

We produce and distribute the publications of choice for residents of the Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland to stay informed and educated about issues and events that affect and enhance the quality of life in the African American and minority communities. Seattle Medium Wins Award From Municipal League For Community News Reporting

The Seattle Medium Newspaper was honored by the Municipal League of King County as their 2015 award winner for Community News Reporting Award.

According to Alejandra Tres, executive director of The Municipal League of King County, prior to this year’s award the Municipal League recognized journalist and news media for “government news reporting”, but this year the category was expanded to “community news reporting” in order to recognize the value that The Seattle Medium bring to the community.
