Bulldogs 4 Life Bash Returns March 21 To Support Garfield High School Students And Programs

Garfield High School families, alumni and community supporters will come together March 21 for an evening of celebration and purpose as the Garfield PTSA hosts the 3rd Annual Bulldogs 4 Life Bash at the Northwest African American Museum. The annual spring auction fundraiser brings the community together for food, fellowship and spirited bidding while raising critical funds to support students, protect teaching positions and sustain programs that help Garfield students succeed in school and beyond.

The event, a key part of the Garfield High School PTSA’s annual fundraising efforts, helps ensure that every Garfield student has access to opportunities and resources that support a positive and enriching school experience.

The Bulldogs 4 Life Bash will take place Saturday, March 21, at the Northwest African American Museum, located at 2300 S. Massachusetts St. in Seattle. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the evening program beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Community members interested in attending can purchase tickets online on Garfield High School PTSA website now.

Organizers say the event plays an essential role in helping sustain programs and resources that benefit the entire Garfield community. Funds raised during the evening support a wide range of initiatives, including preventing teacher and staff cuts due to budget shortfalls, providing college and career readiness support for students, and offering stipends that help teachers and staff cover out-of-pocket classroom expenses.

Additional funding supports the school’s library and arts programs, provides grants to extracurricular clubs, and helps fund Safe and Sober Grad Night celebrations for graduating seniors. The fundraiser also provides support for special classroom projects created by staff, family assistance for students in need, and other initiatives designed to strengthen school culture and enhance the daily student experience.

The Bulldogs 4 Life Bash has become a signature event for the Garfield community, bringing together families, alumni, staff and supporters for a lively evening of connection and celebration of the school’s legacy.

Guests will enjoy a silent auction featuring a variety of items and experiences donated by community members and local supporters. Auction items may include concert or sporting event tickets, artwork, restaurant gift cards, vacation stays and other unique experiences. Attendees will also have opportunities to participate in a raffle and the popular “Raise the Paddle” moment, where supporters can make a direct contribution at a level that fits their budget.

The evening will also feature food, beer and wine, including offerings from Dayo Sense.

Community members who are unable to attend but would still like to support the event are encouraged to contribute by donating items or experiences for the silent auction. Organizers welcome donations such as vacation stays, event tickets, gift cards to local businesses, artwork or services such as cooking classes, gardening assistance or other talents.

Volunteers are also needed in the days leading up to the event and during the bash to help with setup, decorations and event support.

Garfield alumni are especially encouraged to attend as part of an effort to strengthen connections across generations of Bulldogs. Organizers say the evening offers alumni an opportunity to reconnect with the Garfield community, see how the school continues to shape future leaders and reflect on the experiences that made them proud to be Bulldogs.

Guests are encouraged to dress sharply for the occasion, with bonus points for wearing Garfield’s signature purple and white.
