The Baldwin Hill Bruins, the top 14U team from the Snoop Youth Football League in California, defeated the Rainier Ravens 20-6 at Renton Stadium last Saturday night.
The Ravens, ranked #13 in the country prior to the game, jumped out to a 6-0 lead early in the first quarter due to a couple of miscues by 12th ranked Bruins.
However, the Ravens seemed unable to overcome the weather and the loss of one of their best players in Ke’Sean Burks, who suffered a dislocated ankle in the game, as the Bruins rattled off 20 unanswered points to walk away with the victory.
The Ravens remain undefeated by teams in the state, but the game marked their second loss of the season to a team from California.
