No, I don’t believe the government will ban assault rifles. I believe that the National Rifle Association has too much of an involved interest in the overall sales of guns, period. I think assault rifles is probably one of their largest markets and banning assault rifles would essentially take away a huge chunk of that market. Assault rifles may not be as prevalent in places such as Seattle, but in places such as Nebraska, Montana, South Dakota, Mississippi, and Arkansas those guns are a way of life for generations. I think it all boils down to numbers and doesn’t make any sense.

I do not believe the government will ban assault rifles. People and organizations that support the use of assault rifles have a strong influence on the government and its officials. In Georgia, Gov. Casey Cagle has threatened its top employer Delta Airlines with the loss of tax breaks if they don’t change their position and reinstate it’s relationship with the NRA. Showing that government fears the NRA more than it cares for the wellbeing of the Georgia business climate or it’s citizens.

No, I don’t think assault rifles and guns will be banned. They can’t even ban or get rid of nuclear weapons so what makes you think banning guns will make a difference? We got a lot of work to do to get rid bombs around the world in places like North Korea. They still have bombs hidden in Vietnam that they’re still looking for. Again, we still have a lot of work to do, assault rifles pale in comparison to the devastation nuclear weapons pose.
Dennis Jimerson…
I don’t think the government is going to do much about banning assault weapons because with the White House administration we have today seems like they’re promoting and heading towards war. I don’t think Trump keeps his word and I don’t think he’s reliable enough to pursue any legislation to reduce the heavy artillery and guns and gun violence. I don’t trust Trump, I don’t think so.

I do not believe the government is going to ban assault rifles and if they do, if anything, they will make them more accessible for us to actually get and I think they will probably target people of color so that’s pretty much what I think and it’s straight like that.

The reason they will not ban them is because it is a way to control the environment. Just like handguns you know what I’m saying. They like to get handguns in the hands of the young, not just the young Blacks, but the young and hip community, that world, they give them guns. I just lost a niece to gun violence. Why because this new law that came out to where you can be under seventeen and you can get a certain amount of time. Why, for what. It’s used to control the environment, the more killings we have the less people they have to worry about. It’s a winiwin for them.
