City Of Seattle To Host Pop-up Vaccination Clinics Across The City This Week

Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins

This week, the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) will host pop-up vaccination clinics at various locations throughout city. All SFD pop-ups will offer the Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines, and all Washington state residents 12 and older are eligible for vaccination. Residents who have already begun the vaccination process can receive their second dose as long as they provide proof of vaccination via their vaccine card or immunization record. Patients can access their information at https://myirmobile.com.

Last week, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan announced that the City is closing down the majority of its fixed vaccination sites and will prioritize mobile vaccination efforts for the summer.

“Our high-volume vaccination sites were crucial to ensuring we vaccinated 70 percent of our residents and workers across Seattle. Now that we’re set to reach that milestone, we’re refocusing our efforts on our mobile vaccination teams, which are proven to be our best tool at vaccinating historically underserved and vaccine hesitant communities,” said Durkan. “Our pop-up clinics help us reach hundreds of Seattleites who may not have even planned to get vaccinated. I encourage everyone who still needs either their first or second dose of vaccine to visit a Seattle Fire pop-up this week and help get us further down the road to recovery.”

Today, June 2, the City is hosting a pop-up vaccination clinic at Magnuson Park in partnership with the Art Club in Solid Ground and the African American Health Board. The pop-up is focused on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities in the Sand Point neighborhood. The clinic will include culturally responsive vaccine education, as well as a photo booth, snacks, and prizes organized by the Art Club. SFD is also hosting a pop-up clinic at Franz Bakery in the Central District for workers, customers, and residents of the surrounding neighborhood. Franz Bakery is providing goodie bags to all those vaccinated at the clinic, and is also hosting a raffle for five $100 Franz Bakery gift cards. Details on both pop-ups are as follows:
