The Cleveland High School Eagles had a rough start to the 2021 football season as they faced off with Timberline High School out of Lacey, Washington at Rainier Beach Stadium Friday night.
Penalties early in the first half stalled the Eagle’s offense, while Timberline had no trouble moving the football. After a 51-yard drive on their first possession that ended with quarterback Jackson Brown scrambling for a 2-yard touchdown, Timberline never looked back. Brown would add to his total with a touchdown pass in the second half.
Special teams mistakes by Cleveland led to two punt return touchdowns as Timberline breezes to a shutout victory 45-0 over Cleveland.
