The stingy defense and a strong running game by Amarr “AP” Murphy helped SWAC post a big victory over Kent. Murphy scored the Cougars’ lone touchdown and extra point, while teammates Jakai Clardy and Carmonte “CaptainHook” Shelton also ran the ball well. On defense, SWAC’s Jaylen “Big J” Pellum scored a safety, JoJo Matautia had a fumble recovery and Jamal Abbot had several tackles to help secure the team victory.

This tight and entertaining game wasn’t decided until the second half. The Cougars defense kept the game in check until their offense took over and scored 13 points in the second half. A 50 yard fumble return for the Cougars defense put the game away.
CD Panthers 12, Beacon Hill Cowboys 0
CD’s Darius Harvey had a few big runs and a touchdown to help the Panthers (7-0) stay undefeated.

SWAC put forth a complete team effort en route to a 39-6 win over the Cobras. The Cougars’ got two touchdowns from O.G. Feo, a 56-yard touchdown run by Ezrah Tuaoa, a touchdown by quarterback Josiah Vaomu on the day. On defense, SWAC’s Derrick Payton had a great game on defense with 8 tackles, 3 sacks & a touchdown, Vaomu also posted an interception on defense fir the Cougars.

Quenton Jordon, Jr. scored the game-winning touchdown as the Cowboys were victorious in a battle of unbeaten teams.

CD’s Jishai Miller threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, while team Malichi Satterwhite ran for two touchdowns as the Panthers got a big win over the Cowboys.
