HEIR ODD (7U) 33, NW Grizzlies 6
HEIR 7U had a dominant performance against the NW Grizzlies. HEIR’s Sosaia Toutai had a total of 5 sacks and numerous tackles for losses, along with Keila Sausau, Erwin Session and Aiden Paypay who each recorded two sacks and combined for two forced fumbles.
Khalil Ladd, James Hatfield, King Holiwell and Marshall Manao caught multiple touchdowns from Jax Prum along with Knowledge Morgan’s key blocks to set up crucial touchdowns. Tyrel Bellinger’s 70-yard kick return put the icing on the cake as the game ended at 33-6 at halftime due to the Grizzles forfeiting the second half of the game.
Benson Bruins 34, Parkland 0
The Benson Bruins 8U came out to play against the Parkland Raiders 8U. Their defense was led by Misiuepa Muaau and Andrew “Bubba” Foushee, who each accounted for 3 sacks. The offense was led by quarterback Johzais “JB”Failautusi with 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 passing, while running back Bless Austin-Curry had a 47 yard touchdown run and tightend Liam “LB” Brown had a 29-yard touchdown reception.
Parkland’s offensive and defensive lineman, Ziggy Tuivaiave was making his presence known on both sides of the ball as he would make huge tackles for losses along with providing pancake blocks. Benson would go on to win 34-0.
HEIR EVEN (8U) 32, Tac City 13
HEIR Pressure 8U dominated in their matchup against the Tac City Bolts. Alijah Nelson had a great game, rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Moseiah Tovia had a couple of rushing touchdowns along with standout performances by quarterback Apollo Neloms.
Wide receiver Ace Jenkins contributed to a couple of extra point conversions. The dominance by the defensive line led by Papa Redding, Ace Jenkins, MJ Marshal, Princeton Iuli, Marcus Graham, and Melo Fesili helped secure the win for HEIR 32-13.
CD Panthers 19, C2C Rams 0
CD’s smothering defense, led by Carter Morgan and Romeo Penaloza, had all hands on deck as they posted a shutout win over the Rams. Ronnie “Boogie” Phillips got loose for the games 1st touchdown on a 28-yard scamper to paydirt.
The Panthers’ Darel Dietrick recorded eight tackles. Ricky Victoria had a 35-yard touchdown run and a 42-yard pick six at the end of the game. The extra point was secured by kicker Jada “Big Poppa” Caine.
