The game would be tightly contested going into halftime as Chief Sealth held on to a 16-10 lead over Ballard. However, the Seahawks rallied in the fourth quarter to put the Beavers away as they handed them a 40-24 defeat. Seahawks quarterback Anthony Waters completed 10 of 16 passes for 115 yards on the evening, while running back Dontae McMillan had 18 rushes for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Ballard running back Jarman Hauser carried the ball five times for 142 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort.

Bishop Blanchet 24, Rainier Beach 22
Bishop Blanchet held Rainier Beach scoreless in two of its three quarters having a 21-9 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. Rainier Beach rallied but would fall short of overcoming a 12 point fourth quarter deficit. The Braves offense was led by quarterback Alex Johnson who completed 16 of 28 passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Rainier Beach quarterback Trey Morris completed 7 of his 9 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Rainier Beach’s Sammy King had five receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns to lead all receivers.

Bainbridge 50, Nathan Hale 14
The Spartans jumped out to a fast start outscoring the Raiders 48-6, making it very difficult for a comeback as the final score would be 50-14 earning the Spartans a conference victory over the Raiders. The Spartans’ Gannon Winkler had 7 carries for 118 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s victory, while teammate Ryan Wilson also had a great game, rushing for 110 and one touchdown on five carries. The Raiders received huge contribution from running back Finn Davido who rushed for a game high 151 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.

Eastside Catholic 50, Garfield 7
Top ranked Eastside Catholic hosted Garfield in a rematch of last years’ state quarterfinals. Eastside Catholic came out seeking revenge as they would score 50 points in the first half while holding Garfield scoreless. Eastside Catholic quarterback Michael Franklin completed 7 of 10 passes for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns. Eastside’s Jahlann Tuimoloau recorded two sacks to help lead the Crusaders on defense. Garfield running back Aereck Savelio had 13 carries for 88 yards and one touchdown to lead the Bulldogs.

West Seattle 51, Franklin 8
After both teams ended the first quarter scoreless, Franklin scored on its next possession giving them an 8-0 lead. West Seattle’s high powered offense made some adjustments and scored 50 unanswered points. The Wildcats were led by quarterback Cyrus Storlie, who completed 16 of 19 passes for 319 yards and 5 touchdowns. West Seattle’s Colin Rossman led all receivers with six receptions for 133 yards and three touchdowns, while teammate Oliver Carlson finished the game with four receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Franklin running back D’eric Jackson had 13 carries for 121 yards and one rushing touchdown on the night.
