Blanchet 49, Franklin 29

The Franklin Lady Quakers fell to the Bishop Blanchet Bears in a thrilling Metro League matchup Friday night, with Blanchet remaining undefeated in league play after a 42-29 victory. Franklin started strong, propelled by Khamille Chappell’s impressive two-way performance, including 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. The Quakers’ defense, led by Chappell and Ciara Tu’u, kept the game tightly contested in the first half, with Franklin holding a brief lead in the second quarter before an 8-0 run by Blanchet shifted the momentum. Brooke Campbell’s sharp shooting fueled the Bears, who closed the half with a 17-10 advantage.

In the second half, Blanchet extended their lead behind Stella Na’s 12-point game and clutch free throws from Neko Joseph. Despite Franklin’s best efforts, including late contributions from Jewels Carter, who finished with 10 points, and Chappell, the Lady Quakers couldn’t overcome the Bears’ strong finish. Campbell’s timely baskets sealed the victory for Blanchet. T
