Seattle police confirmed that they received reports of the vehicle-into-building incident around 8:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that a white 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV had run a red light before colliding with the restaurant, resulting in minor injuries to several patrons.
The Seattle Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene, where they assessed the situation and deemed the building unsafe for occupancy due to gasoline leaking from the vehicle into the restaurant. Fortunately, the driver was evaluated on-site and found not to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The SUV was subsequently towed away from the scene. The driver will be cited for the incident and may face significant financial repercussions in civil court.
