Auburn Panthers 27
5 Star Cougars 3
The Auburn Panthers came out the gates with their fast pace, no huddle offense with a perfect balance between run and pass attack. This was capped off with a touchdown run by Auburn’s Christian Titialii from 5-Star’s 10 yard line. Auburn continued their run and pass attack melody on their next possession that resulted in a touchdown pass from quarterback Baylen Erdmann to his big tightend Patrick Ensminger. Auburn struck pay dirt on their next possession with a 30 yard touchdown run by shifty running back Jayden Hammer to lead the Panthers into the half with 21 – 0 lead. 5 Star worked to rally but came up short this week.
Benson Bruins 40
CD Panthers 0
In this battle of two of the top teams in the 10u division the Benson Bruins beat the CD Panthers 40-0. The Panthers, who came into the game looking to knock of the Bruins, fell hard Benson in a game that was rife errors by CD. To Benson’s credit, they run like a well-oiled machine and executed on great coaching.
Benson was looking to make a statement in this game and did exactly that by dominating all phases of the game. Offensively, the Bruins’ Damari King led the way with three touchdown runs on the day. Bruins’ quarterback
Micha IIi chipped in with a 53 yard touchdown pass to Reylen Witherspoon. IIi also found pay dirt as runner as well.
CD had some great defensive moments with some good tackles and recovered fumbles but could not convert in the red zone. They lost a key possession close to the end zone when the center hiked the ball too high.
The stingy Bruins defense was led by defensive ends Marques IIi and KJ Hightower along with Linebacker Liufau Loumoli. Cornerbacks Tyson Glen-Thomas and Zackary JuJu McCain did an excellent job containing the Panthers explosive passing game.
Benson continues to dominate the 10U division in its quest for the championship. In the meantime, CD is on a quest to rediscover its champion’s heart. The Bruins remained unbeaten, and posted their fifth shutout of the season, defeating the CD Panthers 40 – 0.
253 Spartans 20
Rainier Ravens 0
The weather was perfect for fall sports; a little chilly at first, but with periods of great warmth.
This game was all defense between two great teams until midway through the third quarter. The 253 Spartans found their sweet spot and were on their “A” game after a great motivator from the offense. The defense recorded their third shutout of the season, second in a row. The Ravens were a formidable force to play against, and have all the potential remain formidable for the foreseeable future.
SeaTac Sharks 13
BGC Seahawks 6
Janiyah of the Seahawks provided momentum with a 35 yard rushing touchdown, while his teamamte Manu played great defense stifling the Sharks offense at times. The Seahawks came in the determined to win only to fall short. But there are more weekends for the Seahawks to show that they are formidable. The Seatac Sharks came prepared to play and their performance made that statement as they came home with a win.
