NW Premier 12U/14U Scores and Highlights 8-28-19

12U Action
Benson Bruins 29
CD Panthers 6
The 12U Bruins looked great in their season opener against their rival CD Panthers. Returning players including QB Devon Forehand, JB Burroughs, JoJo Matautia and Luther Tucker moved the ball skillfully on offense and helped lead a stingy Bruins defense. The experienced 12U Bruins who returned the majority of their 2018 team, showed off some of their scary new weapons who moved up from the 2018 10U championship team including big Marques Meneese and speedsters Damari King and Reylen Witherspoon. CD quarter back Kaden Powers hooked up with Oteko Mwamba on a 42-yard touchown pass on the best play of the day for the Panthers.

Seatac Shark 18
Puget Sound Lancers 13
This was a close game that came down to the wire, as the Sharks got a huge sack by Jose Doval and Paris Saunders to seal the win on the final play of the game. Doval ran for two touchdowns on the day, while Saunders threw a touchdown pass to round out the scoring for the Sharks. The Lancers got a big performance from Adam Estrada who rushed for two touchdowns on the day (50 and 70 yards), while Jakai Clardy completed an extra point pass to Jay Johnson to round out the scoring for the Lancers.

Defensively, both teams had great performances from multiple players. For the Lancers, Imani Blanks, Dealaia Curenton, Sefa Leapai, Jaiyden Meadows, Litani Moimoi, Junior Semo, and Anthony Thorlacius all had multiple tackles on the day. While the Sharks’s Devin Caminong had an interception and two solo tackles. Sebastian Cruz forced a fumble for the Sharks, while teammate Revival Viena recovered a fumble.

Auburn Panthers 14
253 Spartans 0
Auburn Panthers 12U had a strong first appearance this season. Faced some struggles with some of the new rules on contact/tackling but took penalties in stride and held the field. Major defense for Auburn. The defensive line held and didn’t allow a single score all game. Big plays from Auburn including first year player, Bella Titialii, who kept pressure on the Spartans quarterback all game and got her first sack of her career for a 10 yard loss! Auburn scored twice, taking home the shutout win 14-0.
