Beacon Hill Cowboys 34
West Seattle Bengals 0
Defense, defense and more defense, coupled with good play calling by Defensive Coordinator Antoine Thomas. Dem Boyz from Da Hill played stout defense from the beginning until the end of the game. The Bengals were never inside of Dem Boyz red zone. Chris “Everybody loves Chris” Wilson was at it again leading the way on offense with two touchdowns. He got the defense started on the first play of the game with a strip/takeaway. Keyshawn Johnson played stellar at cornerback with an interception and had three key pass deflections when the visiting Bengals were trying to gain some momentum. MyKing Lee was his usual self scoring two touchdowns with one being called back and on defense he harassed the Bengals quarterback all afternoon with multiple sacks and knocked down the few passes thrown his way. The battle between the big boys — Merse “Big Boy” Ramirez (Bengals) and Javeon “Big Daddy” Wilson (Cowboys) was really intense, but in the opinion of this viewer Big Daddy out shined his counterpart. Well played “Big Boyz” Javeon and Merse. Nehemiah Washington was stellar on defense as usual and even picked up his first touchdown of the season with a four yard dive straight up the middle. Darryl “DJ” Saulsbury, Jr. hit the century mark in rushing the ball for the first time this season with a touchdown run of 45 yards. William “Doug P” Petty closed out the scoring for Dem Boyz with a 40 yard scamper around end. He was also a force on defense playing as lockdown cornerback with no passes being completed to whoever he was covering. Well done Cowboys. How about Dem Boyz.
The Bengals came with a game plan. No one comes to lose. They started the game aggressive and with effort. The offense did its best to move the ball and defense worked hard to maintain the Cowboys. But in sports someone has to lose for someone to win and the Bengals effort was not enough this weekend to stop the Cowboys. But, the Bengals effort is to be applauded.
Benson Bruins 22
Rainier Ravens 0
The Bruins defeated the Ravens 22-0, posting their seventh shutout in eight games and allowing only 12 points by opponents in the regular season. Leading the way on defense was Xavier Agasied who continued to add to his forced fumble season total, including another strip returned for a touchdown. The offense was on point and executed their game to bring home the win. The Rainier Ravens came to play and competitive they were. The Offense did their best to move the ball and the defense aggressively attacked the Bruins only to come up short this week. But their effort was formidable.
