West Seattle Bengals 34
Beacon Hill Cowboys 21
Short-handed this week the Cowboys still had a great game and played competitively. James “Duke” Scott showed off again with his power and speed on offense running for multiple touchdowns. As a team the Cowboys gave up some easy scores but the playoffs are next week and it will be a different game for the Cowboys. The West Seattle Bengals executed their playbook and performed well. Offensively they were aggressive in getting into the end zone. Defensively they held the Cowboy attack to a minimal to hoist the “W”.
Puget Sound Lancers 36
Benson Bruins 13
With an 8-0 record in the regular season and two time division champs Puget Sound’s Charles Brown came away with nine tackles, four sacks and one reception for 84 yards thrown by Chance Guadiz. Savionte Edgecomb contributed a tackle, and 156 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Caleb Presley added six tackles and 179 all-purpose yards to go along with four touchdowns for the Lancers.
On defense, Jamil Beleford racked up tackles as the Lancers prepared for the playoffs. Benson’s valiant effort did not go unnoticed. Both the offense and defense put in work to maintain a competitive spirit. Great effort by the Bruins.
The Bruins came out with a lot of energy, scoring quickly taking a 13-12 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Lancers heated up in the second quarter and continued their hot streak through the second half, resulting in a final score of 36 – 13.
