NW Premier 6U Highlights

Benson Bruins vs Rainier Ravens
The Benson Bruins and Rainier Ravens put on a show in the final 6U game of the season. Both teams played tough and showed impressive skills for their ages. At this age the young athletes are learning the fundamentals of football to prepare them for the next levels.

5 Star Cougars 30
Beacon Hill Cowboys24
Beacon Hill running backs Malachi Jackson and Mahchai Jackson showed up once again to lead the Cowboys on offense scoring all of Beacon Hill’s touchdowns. The Cowoby defense was a team effort, as Antonio, Zakai, Ryder Reiben and Canan all put in work as the Beacon Hill Cowboys are applauded for their effort in this loss. While the 5 Star Cougars stayed fixed to their game plan, executing it to 30 to 24 win of the Cowboys. Offense was methodical and the defense stout enough to hold off a Beacon Hill surge.

CD Panthers 6U vs Lakewood LYTE
This past Saturday the Central District Panthers played Lakewood LYTE in a heated 6U battle that went down to the wire. The game was a defensive game from start to finish. Both teams had on there defensive hard hats and came ready to put in work. The CD Panther defense was led by KB Clark who had three tackles and a sack. Clark, who stuff the middle repeatedly, made it impossible for runs up the middle. The Panthers’ Jay’Ceon McGreww (2 tackles), Howard Robb (4 tackles), Loyal Justice (3 tackles), and Lawerance Phillips (3 tackles) kept the outside on lock and didn’t allow a single touchdown. The defense was led again by league 6U defensive MVP candidate and most likely pound for pound the most dominating force in all of the NWP league Ahviel Moimoi. The league had to literally change the rules because of Ahviel Moimoi ( Little Lawrence Taylor ). Ahviel Moimoi finished the game with five sacks and three tackles on the day. CD’s offense was let by Howard Robb, who time and time again showed he is well above his age in quarterback IQ. CD’s running backs led by Justice and Phillips ran with great confidence and determination. The power backs Ahviel and KB busted up the middle for a number of power runs not seen since Marshawn Lynch around these parts. It was the shifty back Stevie Shafer that scored the games only touchdown in the 3rd quarter on a nice reverse that had the defense guessing where the ball was due to Robb’s ball fakes. By the time they figured it out Shafer was in the end zone. After the one score it was a defensive battle for the rest of the way. It was a great family day and the support was heard strong from both sides cheering on both of these great teams. Until next year…. C.D or See Me.
