NW Premier 6U Scores And Highlights

Benson 26, Tac City Bolts 6
The Lil’ Guys from Benson played “Big Boi” football as they rallied on both sides of the ball to post a huge win over the Bolts. On offense, the Bruins kept the chains moving, as Mila Mendoza, Lofa Taito, Royce Alejaga and Malakia Armstead combined for four touchdowns on the day. On defense, the Bruins were solid throughout the day, giving up just one touchdown during the game on a keeper by Tac City’s quarterback.

Renton Rangers 18, HEIR 6

The Renton Rangers’ 6U Boom Squad remains undefeated with a gut-checking win over HEIR. The game didn’t start well for the Rangers, with players showing up late and the referees arriving behind schedule. HEIR took advantage of the slow start, scoring first, while Renton had three early turnovers. But once the Rangers settled in, the sleeping bear woke up.
Renton’s Dondre Dowlen and Devaughn Burrell-Lofton led a huge offensive surge, while Laus Kamoto and Malachi Finau anchored the defense. Burrell-Lofton broke off several impressive runs of 10 to 20 yards, but Dowlen stole the show with three touchdowns, giving Renton a fierce one-two punch. Lonzell King added another threat to the run game, making it tough for HEIR to handle Renton’s offense.
On defense, Laus Kamoto was his usual dominant self, making tackles in the backfield, with Malachi Finau joining him in wreaking havoc. Dowlen and Burrell-Lofton cleaned up any plays that made it past the front line, holding HEIR to just one early score.
Renton Coach Darryl Gant’s message to his team was very simple: “Play until the end and things will eventually go your way.”
“HEIR kept calling out Dowlen, so we gave them what they asked for,” said Gant about the play of his running back. “Now they know.”
According to Gant, his group of young men is undefeated, and they are determined to keep it that way.
