The defending champion 10U Benson Bruins, who were last beaten during the 2017 season, continued their undefeated streak with a 34-0 win over the Auburn Panthers. Quarterback Micah Meneese was on fire scoring three touchdowns and a defensive play of the game, a touchdown saving chase down and tackle. Jordan Noel contributed as well showing impressive speed, scoring twice for the Bruins.
BGC Seahawks 59
Puget Sound Lancers 6
The Seahawks came in this weekend with win on their minds. It was a total team effort as contributions to the win came from a slew of different players. Quarterback Dejon Rhodes, Jr scored twice with two quarterback keepers, Marjon Black Chapman scored on a 28 yard run, SaToray Roberson gave his team two touchdowns a 31 yard touchdown and a 27 yarder, Shawn Davidson added two touchdowns a 4 yard and 2 yard run. Also, in mix Cohen Cicero pitched in with a 12 yard scamper for a score. The defense was stellar holding the Lancers to only 6 points as Satoray Roberson’s interception added another touchdown. The Lancers competed valiantly as Chezz Carson scored for the Lancers showing that there would not be a shutout this weekend. Pride is everything in football and the Lancers played their hearts out.
Beacon Hill Cowboys 22
253 Spartans 0
The 10U Cowboys are on a role. The offense is full of weapons. Sir Jewel Glover led the way with a 20 yard touchdown run, he later added a punt return. Zavier “X-man” Traxler got in on the scoring with a two yard touchdown run. The work horse was Esquire Williams gaining a ton of yards and two touchdowns which unfortunately were called back. Other Cowboy weapons to speak of were Jordan Mack and Lamar Darden, Jr. who scored on extra points respectively. Defensively, the Cowboys had no mercy. They only gave up one first down in the first two games. Defense was led by the twins Lyron and Leon Wilkinson both having numerous tackles in the backfield. The game ended at halftime but we weren’t upset because the teams remain healthy. 253 Spartans came in competitive and played valiantly throughout the contest.
