Our 12U matchup, the 4th game of the day, featured the CD Panthers battling against the SeaTac Sharks. This game was gritty, smash mouth, and sloppy all at once. Both teams seemed to have offensive prowess whenever they had possession. But the player of the game had to be CD’s Oteko Mwamba. Mwamba had an outstanding performance with a 70-yard touchdown reception, a 15-yard touchdown catch, and a fumble recovery for a long touchdown. Final Score: Seatac Sharks 14, CD Panthers 26.

Benson’s Luther Tucker scored on a 24-yard touchdown run as the Bruins took an early 8-0 lead. Then Benson opened up the offensive playbook as Jojo Matautia caught a touchdown pass, and Tucker scored on a 43-yard touchdown run as Benson took a 20-0 lead into the half.
In the second half, the Bruins got touchdown runs from Tucker, JB Burroughs and Reylen Witherspoon as they advanced to the championship round with a 40-0 win over Puget Sound.

Richmond Bulldogs 0
The Lancers showed why they are the team to beat in the 14U division as they scored early and often in a shutout win over the Bulldogs. The Lancers’ Marquan McCraney accounted for three touchdowns, including a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The final matchup of the day was a battle of the few vs the many. The matchup between the Seatac Sharks and the CD Panthers was a display of a lot of heart and resilience. The Sharks out-manned the Panthers by nearly double. But the Panthers team still put up a great fight, even striking first in the game with a deep receiving touchdown in the first quarter. But in the end, the Sharks’ manpower was too much for the 11 total men of the Panthers. After a dominant performance by Jason Brown, the Sharks won 42-18.
