Obituary – Otis Dee Roberson

Otis Dee Roberson, 70, passed away on Thurs., August 31 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

Roberson was born on January 26, 1947 to the union of Willie and Ruby Roberson in Louisville, Mississippi. He was the sixth child of ten. The family moved to Galesburg, IL in 1950. He arrived in Seattle in 1963 to reside with his older brother, Joe and Joan Roberson. He finished high school at Garfield in Seattle where he met his future wife, Linda Roberson. He married his high school sweetheart on January 25, 1969. After graduating from high school, he attended Eastern Washington University before being drafted into the Army in 1966. He joined his brother Cornelius in Vietnam where he served for two years.

In his career, he held positions at Nordstrom as a purchasing agent, he was an entrepreneur, and lastly he ended his career as a project manager for Fryer Knowles.

Roberson is survived by his loving wife, Linda Roberson of 48 years and daughters, Yvette and Traci Roberson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., Sept. 8 at the Church by the Side of the Road – 3455 S 148th St. Tukwila, WA. Burial will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Pastor Terrence Proctor will officiate.
