Remembering John E. Anderson Sr., M.D.

Dr. John Anderson was born on May 16, 1937 in Midway, Kentucky. Dr. Anderson, 84, formerly of Mercer Island, peacefully passed away on December 30in North Oaks, MN after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera J. (Stout) Anderson. He is survived by two daughters, Tracie (Anderson) Dewberry and son-in-law Yone of Circle Pines, MN., and Michele Anderson of Alexandria, VA and son, John Anderson, Jr. of Kirkland, WA; his grandchildren, Austin and Blake Dewberry; Buddy, his cat along with a host of friends that became family.

Anderson was devoted to his family, and his faith. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, humility and his compassion for medicine and the field of radiology.               

Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31at Walker Chapel AME Church, 2400 East Valley Road, Renton, WA 98057. The Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA 98042.
