Renisha Denee’ (Davis) Rhodes was born at Providence Hospital in Seattle, Washington, to De’John Denee’ Davis and Romalice Hillard. From the very beginning, she carried a spirit that was strong, loving, joyful, and full of purpose. She grew into a hardworking woman whose heart was always centered on family and children. Renisha had a natural gift for caring for young people, teaching them, laughing with them, and spoiling them with the kind of love only she could give. Her presence brought warmth, fun, and comfort to every child she embraced.

She attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington, and later continued her education at Green River Community College in Auburn, Washington. Renisha spent many years working in retail, where her kindness, dedication, and bright personality touched coworkers and customers alike.

Although Renisha faced significant health challenges throughout her life, she chose not to share those struggles widely. She preferred to protect her peace, keep her joy, and focus on the moments that made her happiest. Her strength was quiet but powerful. She carried herself with grace even in the hardest times.
