Author Luis Alberto Urrea Discusses New Book At The Seattle Public Library

Acclaimed Mexican-American author Luis Alberto Urrea will engage in a conversation with Moira Macdonald, the art critic of the Seattle Times, regarding his new novel. This deeply personal story revolves around women’s friendship and valor, unfolding on the front lines of World War II.

The author event will take place on Monday, June 5, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Central Library, Level 1 – Microsoft Auditorium.

Urrea draws inspiration from his mother’s Red Cross service, presenting a compelling narrative that sheds light on the often-overlooked heroism of women during World War II.

Registration is required for most events unless otherwise noted. All Library events are free and open to the public.
