With the win, Garfield secured a first-round bye on their quest for a three-peat. The Lady Bulldogs will face the winner between Lakeside and Auburn Mountainview.

The Lady Eagles extend their winning streak to 15 games as they beat Lakeside in double-digit fashion. With the win, the second-seeded Eagles earned a first-round bye in the state tournament as they await the winner of Meadowdale and Bonney Lake.

The West Seattle Lady Wildcats fell short in their upset bid of Lynwood, as the Lady Royals advance to the next round where they’ll face Stanwood on March 1 at 9:00 a.m. with an opportunity to play Mead.

Under first year Head Coach Tre Simmons the Lady Bulldogs, with an overall record of 20-1, enter the tournament as the reigning back-to-back 3A State, Metro League, and 3A District 2 champion. Led by Metro League Most Valuable Player Katie Fiso alongside All-Metro Team Selections Imbie Jones and Rakiyah Jackson, the Lady Bulldogs are looking to three-peat as state champions.

Lakeside with Metro Coach of the Year Mia Augustavo-Fisher, All-Metro Team selections Mia Broom and Claire O’Connor look to keep their season alive with a win against Auburn Mountainview in order to have an opportunity to avenge their loss in the Metro League championship against Garfield.

Auburn Mountainview is on a four-game win streak, and will face Lakeside for the first time this season.
