“I think citizens need to be. I just think it’s so unfair that you guys pass on the cost to the consumers, and now everything’s going up. But then you have to realize that if the consumers cannot pay for your products, what is going to happen to the economy if we can’t keep giving money back into the economy and keep it rolling? They got to do something. Everyday necessities have gone up, and people are really oblivious because they think, ‘Oh, it’s not going to affect me,’ but it does. All of it plays a big part, especially as Black people who are already put in disproportional situations where we don’t even have access.”

“I feel like we are getting hustled. I feel like it’s not fair and it’s not right, especially if we’re paying these taxes and we’re not getting anything back for it. I work two jobs, things are expensive, and knowing that it was found unconstitutional, it is just not right. I think we, the citizens, should be reimbursed.”

“American businesses and households typically pay higher prices, returning the revenue through tax credits or rebates, but offset the burden and prevent everyday families from observing the cost. They are taking more than necessary, so I support a reimbursement to help relieve people and balance things out in a way.”

“Didn’t they already up the market by raising prices higher than they should be for them to recoup their benefits from it? No, absolutely not. American companies should not be refunded.”

“Isn’t what is going on technically considered theft at this point? Yes, American companies, and even, if that is the case, U.S. citizens, should be reimbursed.”

“There definitely should be a reimbursement. If they took the money illegally, they should give it back properly. That’s what they would want us to do when it comes to them, and I think that corporations should give the money back to their customers because they should be showing their loyalty to their consumers the same way they expect us to.”
