Volunteers Needed To Rank Grant Proposals For Athletic Fields

OLYMPIA – The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office is looking for volunteers to help decide which ball fields and outdoor sport facilities should receive state funding.

Volunteers will serve on the Youth Athletic Facilities Advisory Committee, which reviews and ranks applications for state grants to renovate and improve athletic facilities.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in sport and athletic facility programming, design or management. The agency is looking for energetic people who represent a broad range of competitive sports and athletics.

Volunteers will review and score the written grant proposals online in September. Grants will be awarded by the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board at its November 2015 meeting in Olympia.
