Voter Registration Deadline October 8 For General Election

King County residents who want to vote in the November 6 general election have until Monday, October 8 to register to vote or update voter registration information online or by mail.

King County Elections will mail general election ballots to all registered voters on October 17, so it’s important that citizens register to vote and keep their address and other information, including their signature, updated.

Voters can check to make sure their registration information is current by:

• Using My Voter Information online

• Visiting King County Elections

• Visiting the King County Elections Annex

Weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• By mail:  Download a registration form and mail it in

• In person:  at King County Elections or the King County Elections Annex 

Voters who miss the October 8 deadline to update their registration should still contact the Elections office to update their information for future elections. King County residents not currently registered in Washington can register in person at the Elections office through October 29.

Who can register? 

To be eligible to register to vote, you must be:

• A citizen of the United States

• A legal resident of Washington state

• At least 18 years old by election day (November 6)

• Not under the authority of the Department of Corrections

• Not disqualified from voting due to a court order
