Why Has The Use Of The N-Word Become So Acceptable?

The N-word has become acceptable because of how people respond to its use. It’s not a big deal to a lot of other Black people, which makes other communities think that it is an okay thing to say.

I think it’s because of arts, like music and movies. Those mediums made it seem like it should be a part of everyday conversations, so that’s exactly what people do.

I don’t know when the change happened, but it feels like it did overnight. I feel like music and the fact that there are no repercussions for saying it are why it is acceptable nowadays.

You can undo what is learned behavior. Although we did invent the word, like everything else negative, we’ve embraced our hellish conditions and turned them into endearments. From inventions making life easier to derogatory words like the N-word.
