SEATTLE – QueenCare and non-profit Life Enrichment Group were founded upon uplifting the community through giving back. For the past 8 years, Life Enrichment Group has honored its commitment to the community through giving events each December.
On December 17th from 9am – 9:30am, QueenCare is giving Christmas gifts of luxury QueenCare products to 25 women in programs at Seattle Union Gospel Mission. Women in need from Hope Place Seattle – Recovery & Recovery Program will be able to treat themselves to all-natural products while QueenCare owner, Monika Mathews, discusses empowerment, loving oneself, and the importance of self-care.
“We want to give back to the community that has supported us through these uncertain times,” Monika Mathews said. “When each one of us reaches out to help one another, our community thrives and grows in a positive direction.”
Life Enrichment Group is a proud Toys for Tots location and will distribute toys and joy to over 100 families in need on December 18th from 11am – 3pm. Young Queens, a Life Enrichment Group program designed to positively promote academic success and teach inner-city youth about economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, will facilitate the drive, giving away the toys at QueenCare’s Columbia City location.
Young Queens will also take over the QueenCare Jackson Street location on December 16th from 12pm – 7pm to highlight their businesses. One of the entrepreneurs who will be featured in the pop-up shop is Eva Zhang, owner of Eva’s nails and a participant in the Young Queens program.
“Young Queens has taught me professional development skills such as leadership, code switching, social media marketing, and how to succeed in my own business,” Eva said. Life Enrichment Group has had a significant impact on me and has given me lifelong mentorship.”
The community is invited to come support these young entrepreneurs and encourage their unique gifts and talents.
