NW Premier 14U Scores and Highlights 9-25-24

13U HEIR 13U 40, Rise 14U 0

In a very anticipated matchup, the HEIR 13U got the best of Rise 14U. Quarterback Cordae Norling found wide receiver Andrew Peapea for the game’s first touchdown. Cordae found wide receiver Keh’ano Corpuz on a jaw dropping catch and run that led to a passing touchdown to wide receiver Dash Jones. Later Cordae would find wide receiver Derrick Deloney for a touchdown. Anthony Linn would cut through the defense and score the final touchdown of the day. Brody Robertson would make all the 2-point conversion kicks. The defense of HEIR came out smothering their opponent. Ahmire Rooters-Hart returned to the starting lineup, and made his presence known as he made big hits and got multiple sacks in the backfield. Marquis Tovia also made his return known by getting a big interception. The defensive line led by Kamari Wilson, Vaalulu Mapuatuli-Laumea, Sione Hema, and Mark Massey who all had big tackles and sacks as they would win 40-0.

13U Parkland Raiders 30, 14U Gridiron 0

Parkland started off the game hot against the Gridiron as Quarterback Jadis Lefono would open the game with a deep pass to wide receiver Robert Dean II to the 3-yard line. Running back Romiece Taviuni would finish the drive by scoring a 3-yard touchdown. Running back Eurijah Maifea would score an 11-yard rushing touchdown to make it a 2-score lead. Parkland’s defense stayed disciplined all game with Linebacker Heinrich Utu making a couple of big-time tackles that kept Gridiron’s offense in check. Lefono would wide receiver Malachai Chatters in the endzone for a 17-yard touchdown. On the last play of the first half, defensive end Kitiona Tupua would make a huge hit on Gridiron’s running back forcing a fumble in which Parkland’s Prince Malala would recover. Parkland would go on to win 30-0 over Gridiron.

14U
Benson Bruins 43, Renton Rangers 0

The Big Bad Benson Bruins 14U team battled a competitive Renton Rangers team. They were able to bounce back from the lost last week, with a 43-0 victory. The Benson Bruins led with the big play making skills of Jamari Jones and a suffocating defense. While the Bruins are happy with the win, they look to stay focused and finish the year strong.

14U CD Panthers 40, 14U Renton Rangers 12

The CD Panthers played a solid offensive and defensive game overall. The Rangers scored a couple of times on the Panthers due to breakdowns on special teams. Those issues were due to a lack of subs initially, until a player came late in the second quarter and helped the team out. Four starters of the Panthers were not present during the game. A tough loss overall for the Renton Rangers, but there were several good defensive plays from Joseph Gamble, and Kayson McCorvey who held his own on the offensive line. Along with Joel “jojo” Turner who ran the ball for a couple of nice first downs.
