2014 Greater Seattle Youth Football League Championships

Peewees
CD Panthers 14, SWAC Cougars 0
The Panthers got touchdowns and extra points from Jhonny Rogers and Rasaan Thomas as they posted a shutout win over SWAC to claim the Peewee Division championship trophy. SWAC put up a fight for all four quarters but couldn’t get the ball in the end zone against CD’s relentless defense. The Panthers scored in the final three minutes of both halves & sealed the victory. The Cougars defense was led by Kevariue Drayton who recorded several sacks ande a fumble recovery, J’Shun “ManMan” Glover who had several touchdown saving tackles and Dondrey “Tookie” Whitted, Jr. who forced a fumble & had a touchdown saving tackle. Congratulations to both teams on a great season, hold your heads up high & continue to work hard in life.

CD Panthers 7, SWAC Cougars 0
CD’s Uriah Givens scored the only touchdown in the game as the Panthers posted a hard-fought win over the Cougars. SWAC threatened to score a couple of times late in the fourth quarter, but the Panthers came up with a couple of great defensive stands to preserve the victory. With the win, the Panthers finished the season undefeated.

Juniors
Beacon Hill Cowboys 33, CD Panthers 13
Beacon Hill’s Quinton Jordan, Jr. and Joshua Conerly, Jr. both found their way to paydirt two times, as the Cowboys posted a 33-13 win over the Panthers. The Panthers got touchdowns from Alvin Hollis and Juvon Moss, while the Cowboys’ Warren Fontenette, Jr. rounded out the scoring in the game.

Seniors
Rainier Eagles 38, Renton Rangers 12
The Eagles completed a perfect season with a 38-12 win over the Rangers. The Rainier’s Jahvanni Niko-Semo and Derek McKinney scored two touchdowns each, while teammates Alama Tupou and Ropi Semo both muscled their way to the endzone for the Eagles. Renton’s Poet Grayson scored on a 60 yard interception return for a touchdown, while Javon Tade connected with Sammy King on an 11 yard touchdown pass to complete the scoring for the Rangers.
Cheer
The Renton Rangers took first place in the Greater Seattle Youth Football & Cheer League Championships.
