Benson Bruins 44, 253 Spartans 14
Winning last week 40-14 against 253 Heir Silver helped the Benson Bruins go undefeated heading into playoffs. Seeded first in the 6U division, the Bruins were set to face a 253 Spartan team who put up a season high 48 points versus 5 Star last week to secure the fourth seed.
The Bruins would display their defensive dominance early as they didn’t allow 253 Spartans to gain any momentum, which resulted in them holding their opponent scoreless through the first half.
Offensively Benson couldn’t be stopped, they were able to score four touchdowns in the first half to earn themselves a 24-0 lead going into halftime.
The Spartans showed some life as they were able to escape Benson’s defense and score two touchdowns in the second half.
Even with allowing two touchdowns, Benson continued to display dominance in the second half, scoring at such a quick pace they were able to pull away with a 44-14 win to advance to the championship game.
