The 25th Annual Youth & Law Forum will take place this Sat., Apr. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the MLK F.A.M.E. Center – 3201 East Republican in Seattle.

The Forum – which is designed to educate youth and families about their legal rights, protection and responsibilities, law careers, court procedures and resources – will feature guest speakers, age specific seminars and workshops that are designed to help young people better understand the law and to develop better relationships with law enforcement officials. Participants will have a chance to participate in hands on activities, interact with speakers and compete for prizes.

“Today’s youth face unprecedented challenges with bullying, cyber-bullying, substance abuse, and youth violence,” said King County Superior court Judge Leroy McCullough. “It’s one thing to complain about the youth and their problems; we believe it is much better to provide tools for safe and effective resolution of those problems.  The Law Forum offers those tools.”

The event is free and includes a barbeque lunch. All ages are welcome. Registration is from 8:30– 8:45 at the event. You can pre-register for the event online at www.youthandlaw.com.
