What is being called a mass shooting happened in Seattle as police are investigating the incident in Rainier Beach. It left five people injured July 28th evening. At 9:22 p.m., Seattle police posted a tweet about the shooting. Chief Adrian Diaz said the shooting actually started in the parking lot of the abandoned “King Donuts.”
The incident happened not far from a community outreach event. In the words of Diaz, two of the five injured were in critical condition, while the other three were said to be stable. Four of the wounded were transferred to Harborview Medical Center. Two of the five injured were discharged, according to Harborview officials, while two more are in satisfactory condition. The news has gone national.
The shooting occurred next to a Safeway grocery store, which was the scene of another shooting several months ago. Diaz stated, “We know that there were dozens and dozens of rounds that were fired. Right now, we’ve really got to get guns off the streets,” Diaz said. Mayor of Seattle Bruce Harrell referred to it as a tragedy that gun violence marred a public gathering.
Seattle is not the lone city that daced such a shooting recently. Ten people were injured in the most recent US mass shootings. Lansing, Michigan experienced a similar incident. The country is dealing with shootings all over. As of Sunday morning, there had been roughly 415 mass shootings in the US. According to authorities, the most recent mass shootings in the US left a total of 10 people injured in Seattle and Lansing, Michigan, late on Friday and early on Sunday, respectively.

Based on reports, there was a sizable gathering around the victims, who ranged in age from 16 to 26. According to investigators, they caught a number of people at the scene as potential suspects and also found a number of weapons.
